Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound is used to provide deep heating to soft tissue structures in the body. Deep sound waves relax tendons, muscles, and ligaments that increases circulation to stimulate the healing process. The treatment can be applied to various areas of the body.

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology taping has been used by manual therapist for over thirty years. One of its major functions is TISSUE DECOMPRESSION, which has two primary effects on the body. First, it relieves pressure from the nerve endings in the tissue that are responsible for pain. The decompression action of the tape allows for better circulation, this reduces swelling and allows for better performance and recovery.

Secondly, it provides stimulation to the skin and connective tissue beneath. They are filled with sensory receptors that are responsible for feeling light and heavy touch, pain, temperature, and pressure. This contributes to the brain's sense of where the body parts are in space throughout movement. This sensory input increases the neurological connection from where the tape is to your brain. This provides a sensory path for healing and recovery.

The tape will stay on through showers for about 4+days.

Cryotherapy/ Ice Massage

Ice massage, which may incorporate the use of ice cubes or ice packs, helps decrease pain, swelling and inflammation in injured tissues, and is applied in a way that mobilizes or massages your tissues to promote healing. It can be used for both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.  Ice massage is an effective therapeutic procedure to relieve acute or chronic pain, inflammation and post-surgical pain and swelling. Ice affects your body in numerous ways, including reducing blood flow to the area of injury, which reduces swelling, acts as an analgesic or pain-reliever by numbing tissues, reducing muscle spasms and slowing tissue metabolism. Because ice massage helps reduce swelling, inflammation and pain, it's the preferred modality for acute musculoskeletal injuries, such as ligament sprains, muscle strains, joint subluxations and dislocations, bruises and fractures.

Reiki Therapy

Energy Massage incorporates traditional Eastern theories along with modern Western science in an exploration of the life force energy, an idea similar to the Chinese concept of “Chi.” Science has shown that the body has its own electrical field, and is influenced by other such fields. When we hold our hands quietly around a person’s head, or other body part, we create a space in which that body’s inner wisdom can help it heal itself. Energy Massage facilitates the balancing of the human energy field, which may result in reduced pain, tension, and a deeper sense of relaxation and well-being.

The massage cream used is a blend of:

Organic; raw mango seed butter, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, & peppermint+lavender essential oils, nothing else
